Wish Granted! Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane Modification Functionality Coming Soon

We want you to get the most out of your ‘luxury villa’ stay in Solterra, Davenport (near Championsgate and just south of the Disney World Resort area). To help out, we have sourced the following blog post to keep you up to date with news from Walt Disney World Resort. Thanks to the guys over at Blog Mickey for the original post...

Disney World has announced that guests will soon be able to modify Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane reservation times, granting a wish that we wrote about more than a year ago. According to Scott Gustin, guests will be able to modify their attraction return window for Genie+ Lightning Lane selections, as well as modify their party size, where available. Currently, guests need to cancel their Genie+ Lightning Lane reservation and book a new reservation as there is no modification feature.

The Disney Genie+ modification functionality will be pushed via a My Disney Experience update in the next week or so. The update fixes one of the many user-unfriendly things about the Disney Genie+ service. The update comes after Disney granted a previous wish of ours to display the next available selection time in the app – something that also made it difficult for the guest to use the app. Disney seems committed to fixing a premium service that was obviously very difficult to use over the past year. That said, there are still some things that we think Disney can improve on, such as attraction bundles.

Guests will be able to access the modify functionality by clicking the “…” on the Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane reservation when the update is made. There are no changes to the Individual Lightning Lane service at this time.
