Updated Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin Mural Features Space(ship) Mountain, New Look for ‘Planet Z’, and More at Magic Kingdom

We want you to get the most out of your ‘luxury villa’ stay in Solterra, Davenport (near Championsgate and just south of the Disney World Resort area). To help out, we have sourced the following blog post to keep you up to date with news from Walt Disney World Resort. Thanks to the guys over at Blog Mickey for the original post...

Yesterday, we brought you the news that the mural at Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin was being a tarp and likely being refurbished. Today, the tarp is gone and the mural has some new elements. Let’s take a look!

First, here’s a wide view of the new mural, which looks great! The colors really pop with the new paint job and the whole mural appears to be much brighter.

Working left to right, we can see that the Space Mountain-esque ship from other versions of the attraction now exists at Magic Kingdom. It replaces a rather generic-looking planet with rings. Here’s a closer look.

The lineup of robot enemies has been changed a bit, including a look at a robot dog that is one of the targets that you’ll encounter later on the ride.

Finally, Planet Z has received a new look as part of the changes.

As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to bring you the latest news, photos, and info from around the Disney Parks!
