Uncertainty in Tropical Storm Ian’s Path “Higher Than Usual”

We want you to get the most out of your ‘luxury villa’ stay in Solterra, Davenport (near Championsgate and just south of the Disney World Resort area). To help out, we have sourced the following blog post to keep you up to date with news from Walt Disney World Resort. Thanks to the guys over at Blog Mickey for the original post...

An update from the National Hurricane Center on Tropical Storm Ian’s path and intensity notes that uncertainty is “higher than usual” as forecasters try to predict where the eventual hurricane will make landfall along the Florida coastline.

Various models are used to forecast not only the intensity but also the path of the storm. One model that storm watchers like to point to is the EURO model. This model still has Ian barreling into the Tampa area while other models have the storm making landfall closer to the panhandle.

Officially, the National Hurricane Center has the track much further west but does note that there is a high amount of uncertainty. Ultimately, all experts agree that Floridians should be preparing for Ian as we learn more over the coming days.

Disney World has not made a statement about the storm yet.
