Typhoon Lagoon Closing October 19th Due To Forecasted Low Temperatures

We want you to get the most out of your ‘luxury villa’ stay in Solterra, Davenport (near Championsgate and just south of the Disney World Resort area). To help out, we have sourced the following blog post to keep you up to date with news from Walt Disney World Resort. Thanks to the guys over at Blog Mickey for the original post...

Typhoon Lagoon will be closed on October 19th as a cold front moves through the Central Florida area. Currently, the forecast calls for a low of 56° in the early morning hours of October 19th, only warming up to a high of 68° that day.

Typhoon Lagoon currently has hours for Thursday, October 20th when the high will get above 70°, but it still might be a cold day to visit the park.

Both Disney World water parks and the resort pools are heated, but when the air temperature gets too low, the water parks will not open. So while it might be a wonderful time to visit the theme parks, we always recommend checking water park hours throughout your vacation if you visit outside of the summer season.

As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to bring you the latest news, photos, and info from around the Disney Parks!
