Tornado Watch Issued For Disney World Area as Severe Weather Moves Through Central Florida

We want you to get the most out of your ‘luxury villa’ stay in Solterra, Davenport (near Championsgate and just south of the Disney World Resort area). To help out, we have sourced the following blog post to keep you up to date with news from Walt Disney World Resort. Thanks to the guys over at Blog Mickey for the original post...

A tornado watch has been issued for all of Central Florida, including Disney World, until 4pm today as severe weather is expected to move through the area. The weather is currently in the Gulf of Mexico but is expected to sweep through Florida as the morning and afternoon progress. Here’s the watch, as issued by the National Weather Service.

Disney World typically doesn’t adjust operations for severe weather beyond its typical lightning and heavy rain protocols for outdoor attractions. Guests are encouraged to continue to monitor the weather and be prepared to head indoors if conditions worsen.
