The Mandalorian & Grogu Send Galaxy’s Edge Into a Frenzy at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

We want you to get the most out of your ‘luxury villa’ stay in Solterra, Davenport (near Championsgate and just south of the Disney World Resort area). To help out, we have sourced the following blog post to keep you up to date with news from Walt Disney World Resort. Thanks to the guys over at Blog Mickey for the original post...

The Mandalorian and Grogu have arrived. Guests visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios can now find the popular bounty hunter and “baby Yoda” are now roaming Black Spire Outpost in celebration of The Mandalorian Season 3 launching on Disney+ today. Word of the unannounced arrival of the duo spread quickly on social media and guests flocked to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to get a glimpse of the pair.

The Mandalorian and Grogu will meet throughout the day at unannounced times and intervals, perhaps in an effort to avoid massive crowds. Even though guests didn’t know exactly when Din Djarin and Grogu would arrive, many waited in the hot Florida Batuu sun(s) for over an hour. When The Mandalorian and Grogu arrived in Batuu, what occurred was nothing short of a frenzy. The Mandalorian and Grogu are a roaming character experience, which means that there is no queue to enter and no Lightning Lane return time to obtain. Instead, Mando will roam the Marketplace area intermittently throughout the day, surveying the area and posing for photos occasionally. The Mandalorian speaks to guests and Grogu coos.

The Mandalorian and Grogu have proven to be very popular, and large crowds basically follow the duo through the Marketplace during the roughly 15-minute encounter.

Disney has not announced an end date for The Mandalorian and Grogu encounter. Managers we spoke with expected them to keep meeting “for a while”.
