Rainy Days Can Stay with Disney PhotoPass

We want you to get the most out of your ‘luxury villa’ stay in Solterra, Davenport (near Championsgate and just south of the Disney World Resort area). To help out, we have sourced the following blog post to keep you up to date with news from Walt Disney World Resort. Thanks to the guys over at Disney Parks for the original post...

Rain – some people love it; some people hate it. I, for one, love it. I’m the type to splash in puddles and embrace the storm until rainbows appear. Here at Disney PhotoPass Service, we make sure that no matter rain or shine, you can capture your magical memories.

When I’m in the parks and it decides to pour, one of my first thoughts is to head to one of the four Disney PhotoPass Studios located throughout Walt Disney World Resort. These Disney PhotoPass Photo Studios are open regardless of the weather and don’t require separate reservations!

First, we have the Royal Portrait Studio in
Magic Kingdom Park*. It’s located on the backside of Cinderella Castle in Sir
Mickey’s. We
love catering to princesses and princes, but all are welcome to capture photos
here!

Over at Disney Springs, the studio is located next to the Marketplace Co-Op. This studio offers seasonal backdrops, like this Valentine’s Day one.

We also have a studio in EPCOT*. Located in Norway, The Wandering Reindeer is a perfect way to escape the weather. It’s fittingly themed to Disney’s “Frozen” and your photos taken there will surely melt your heart.

Finally, we have our studio in Disney’s Grand
Floridian Resort & Spa. Located on the second floor of this resort, you can
capture photos in front of a standard background while showing off all your
best poses.

Don’t let the rain get you down! After
grabbing your super cute Magic Shot and capturing the best studio photos, try
out some of our Disney PhotoPass Lenses. These lenses are available to guests who
purchase Disney Genie+ service and Annual Passholders and can be found on your
My Disney Experience app**. Here
are some fun lenses to use while you’re waiting for the rain to magically
disappear!

Disney
PhotoPass photographers have some extra magic that is only available when it
rains. This Magic Shot is available at many locations throughout the parks.
Whenever it rains, just ask your nearest photographer for the rainy-day Mickey Mouse Magic Shot. I
recently went to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park*, and it started to downpour.
I
mean, my shoes were more water than rubber. But hakuna matata, my friends! I
pulled out my raincoat with Mickey Mouse-shaped snacks on it and decided to
play in the rain. Along
the way, I found a photographer, and, with some extra pixie dust, I got the
most adorable pal in my photo.

Disney PhotoPass Service has so many ways to get you that picture-perfect souvenir – even when it’s raining. From Disney PhotoPass Studios to a rainy-day Magic Shot, to our Lenses, I have no doubt that you’ll have a magical day with Disney PhotoPass Service, rain, or shine!

the purchase of Disney Genie+ service, Walt Disney World guests can access many
Disney PhotoPass Lenses in the My Disney Experience app as soon as they enter
the park. Annual Passholders can access many Disney PhotoPass Lenses in the My
Disney Experience app starting on the later of March 20, 2023 or the first use
of their Annual Pass. Select Disney PhotoPass Lenses are accessible only within
designated areas of Walt Disney World Resort. Other Disney PhotoPass Lenses
will remain accessible in the My Disney Experience app until 5:59 a.m. on the
45th day after the day on which the Disney Genie+ service was used or, for

consent, as well as guests under 18 years of age, will have fewer lenses
