Guests waited for hours along Sunset Blvd today for the return performance of Fantasmic at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Disney did not offer Genie+ or Virtual Queue, so the line for Fantasmic quickly grew back down Sunset Blvd, rounded the corner along Hollywood Blvd, and toward the entrance to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Disney World has notified guests via a push notification that the first performance of Fantasmic reached capacity shortly before 7:30pm and advised them to try for the 9:30pm performance.
The Hollywood Hills Amphitheater fits just shy of 10,000 guests – 6,900 seating capacity and 3,000 standing room capacity.
Fantasmic is making its return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios after years of closure due to COVID-19 and months of delays.
Fantasmic will be performed at 8pm and 9:30pm over the next few days before moving to just a 9:30pm showing on Tuesday, November 8th.
