Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular Show Finally Debuts at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2022

We want you to get the most out of your ‘luxury villa’ stay in Solterra, Davenport (near Championsgate and just south of the Disney World Resort area). To help out, we have sourced the following blog post to keep you up to date with news from Walt Disney World Resort. Thanks to the guys over at Blog Mickey for the original post...

After a rough opening night back on Friday where poor weather prevented the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular stage show from being presented in its entirety at all, guests at last night’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party were the first to see a full show since 2019. In 2020, there was no Halloween Party presented at all, and there were only sprinkles of Halloween offerings as Disney World continued a phased reopening. In 2021, Disney After Hours BOO BASH was presented, and it lacked any stage show and was quite light on entertainment offerings. This year, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party makes its triumphant return and with it, we also get the return of the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular stage show.

Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular debuted at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2015 and quickly became a fan-favorite show. The show added to an already strong lineup of entertainment offerings at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and is, in our opinion, a must-watch. As we noted earlier, guests at the August 12th Not-So-Scary Party, unfortunately, weren’t able to see the full show, but we attended Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party again last night to capture the return of Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular! There were some slight changes made to the show’s choreography and positioning due to a new stage layout. There were also some projection effect changes in select scenes as a result of the 50th Anniversary decorations on Cinderella Castle. New this year is a sort of mini sing-along in the finale when the lyrics for a spell are projected onto the castle.

Here’s our video of the show, followed by some photos!
