Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind ‘Holiday Mix’ Overlay Misses Start of Christmas Season at Disney World

We want you to get the most out of your ‘luxury villa’ stay in Solterra, Davenport (near Championsgate and just south of the Disney World Resort area). To help out, we have sourced the following blog post to keep you up to date with news from Walt Disney World Resort. Thanks to the guys over at Blog Mickey for the original post...

Ho, Ho, No! The Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Holiday Mix did not launch today, despite today being the official start of the holiday season at the Walt Disney World Resort. Cast Members we spoke with did not know when the Holiday Mix would debut but guessed that the start of the 2022 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays on November 25th would be the debut date. EPCOT takes a little longer than the other four Disney World theme parks to get in the holiday spirit, and it looks like Disney will hold off on debuting the Holiday Mix until later this month.

Disney World communications about the Holiday Mix have never included an opening date, and some holiday press releases ignored the attraction overlay completely, but we’ll share more details when they are known. Here’s how Disney describes the festive overlay for Cosmic Rewind:

This season, the Guardians are trading in their classic hits playlist for a mash-up of seasonal jams at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Blast off to the tune of an awesome holiday single, bringing joy to Xandar and Terra, too.
