France Booth Review – 2022 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival

We want you to get the most out of your ‘luxury villa’ stay in Solterra, Davenport (near Championsgate and just south of the Disney World Resort area). To help out, we have sourced the following blog post to keep you up to date with news from Walt Disney World Resort. Thanks to the guys over at Blog Mickey for the original post...

Making its return this year is the France Global Marketplace! As you might imagine, you can find the France booth in the France pavilion in World Showcase. Here’s our France booth review from the 2022 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival.

France Booth Review

Beignet aux Trois Fromages – $6.00

Warm beignet filled with three cheese blend

Rating: 3 out of 5.

A decent option – who doesn’t love cheese in a beignet?! Ours had a firm exterior with a soft interior and the cheeses were good. It’s an interesting offering, but not something that we’d go out of our way for.

Brioche aux Escargots, Sauce Crème à l’ail et Persil (NEW 2022) – $7.25

Escargot brioche with creamy garlic and parsley sauce (New)

Rating: 4 out of 5.

A new offering in 2022 is the Brioche aux Escargots. This dish was loaded with flavor and contained in a flaky pastry.

Parmentier de Boeuf Braisé au Cabernet – $6.75

Braised short ribs in cabernet with mashed potatoes

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Another 4-star offering is the braised short ribs and mashed potatoes. The short ribs were incredibly soft and flavorful, and the mashed potatoes rounded out the dish well.

Crème Brûlée Vanille à la Confiture de Framboises (NEW 2022) – $5.95

Vanilla crème brûlée with house-made raspberry jam (New) (Gluten/ Wheat-Friendly)

Rating: 4 out of 5.

A well-executed crème brûlée was elevated by the house-made raspberry jam.

Beverages

  • Strawberry Rose Mimosa: Pol Remy Sparkling Wine, orange juice, and Monin Strawberry Rose Syrup – $8.95
  • Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon Blend, Bordeaux, Château de Riffaud (New) – $5.75
  • Chardonnay, Louis de Camponac – $5.50
  • La Passion Martini Slush: Vodka, Grey Goose Le Citron, cranberry, and passion fruit juice – $12.95

France continues to offer solid options and will be a popular spot this year again. We’d like to see them venture out a bit more, but they seem to have a formula that works. The new offerings are worth a try considering you’ll probably stop for the Martini Slush anyway.
