Fireworks Adjusted for Likely Change to Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom

We want you to get the most out of your ‘luxury villa’ stay in Solterra, Davenport (near Championsgate and just south of the Disney World Resort area). To help out, we have sourced the following blog post to keep you up to date with news from Walt Disney World Resort. Thanks to the guys over at Blog Mickey for the original post...

Last week, we reported a rumor that a new intro is coming to Disney Enchantment that focuses on Walt Disney himself and some nostalgic and historical imagery from the opening years of Walt Disney World. Last night, we were enjoying an evening at Magic Kingdom and we noticed some adjustments to the pyrotechnics during Disney Enchantment ahead of a likely change to the show to include the imagery and audio from our rumor.

Most of the adjustments to the show were made in the opening few minutes, with some of the pyrotechnics from the “big” launch point matching some of the same effects and timing seen in a recent overnight test. It should be noted that the test also included pyro not seen in last night’s Enchantment due to the fact that the new intro wasn’t added to the show last night. We expect the new intro to be about 2 minutes long with a handful of fireworks and some rooftop launches based on what was described to us from the overnight test.

Here’s a look at last night’s Disney Enchantment performance, followed by a performance that was filmed last month for the MagicBand+ effects.

Disney has not formally announced any changes to Disney Enchantment, but it’s possible that we get an announcement at the D23 Expo in September (or sooner based on the changes we observed last night).
