Disney’s Hollywood Studios Moves to Evening Extra Magic Hours Through August 2020

We want you to get the most out of your ‘luxury villa’ stay in Solterra, Davenport (near Championsgate and just south of the Disney World Resort area). To help out, we have sourced the following blog post to keep you up to date with news from Walt Disney World Resort. Thanks to the guys over at Blog Mickey for the original post...

As we continue to keep an eye on park hours adjustments to assist with your vacation planning, we noticed that Disney’s Hollywood Studios has moved to Evening Extra Magic Hours through the end of August.

With demand for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance remaining high, and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway set to open in early March, rope dropping Disney’s Hollywood Studios looks to be the most popular option at the park for the foreseeable future.

With high crowds showing up daily for rope drop, offering a Morning Extra Magic Hours simply isn’t feasible from an operations and guest satisfaction standpoint. The move to Evening Extra Magic Hours makes a lot of sense for everyone. As of publish time, it’s unknown if Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway will be available during Evening Extra Magic Hours or not. Rise of the Resistance has never been offered during Evening Extra Magic Hours and it’s unclear if Disney will change their policy on that anytime soon.
