Disney World Union Begins New Contract Negotiations Next Week

We want you to get the most out of your ‘luxury villa’ stay in Solterra, Davenport (near Championsgate and just south of the Disney World Resort area). To help out, we have sourced the following blog post to keep you up to date with news from Walt Disney World Resort. Thanks to the guys over at Blog Mickey for the original post...

Unite Here Local 362 has announced that they will begin contract negotiations with Walt Disney World management next week. Their current contract, which went into effect in September 2017, ends October 1, 2022. Local 362 is an affiliate of the Service Trades Council Union (STCU) which currently represents 41,000 Cast Members at Walt Disney World.

The negotiations come at a time when the Disney Parks division has bounced back completely from the March 2020 shutdowns, but also at a time when inflation is putting even more strain on Cast Members. The details of the negotiations haven’t been released yet, but we will continue to keep an eye on this story and report more as it becomes available.

As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to bring you the latest news, photos, and info from around the Disney Parks!
