Along with the announcement that Disney Genie+ will now have date-based, variable pricing at Walt Disney World, select Individual Lightning Lane prices will also increase. Note that Individual Lightning Lane prices have always varied by date at Walt Disney World and will continue to do so – this is nothing new and dates back to October 2021.
What is new is that some Individual Lightning Lane attractions will either begin participating in the date-based pricing, or they will increase their pricing in general. The example given by Scott Gustin is that Rise of the Resistance will now have date-based variable pricing from $15 to $22. Previously, Rise of the Resistance was $15 on every day of the week. It’s also worth noting that $22 is not being communicated as the maximum price and that pricing could increase beyond that.
