Disney Quickly Embraces New Twitter Alternative ‘Threads’ Social Media Platform

A new Twitter alternative built by Facebook parent company Meta has launched. The new app is called Threads and according to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, the app reached more than 10 million users in its first 7 hours and has surpassed 30 million users as of this morning. Brands and celebrities alike were quick to join, and among the companies to join is The Walt Disney Company, and the various social media accounts that the company manages.

The Disney Parks account has posted a few threads as it quickly embraces the new platform. Threads appears to be the best current alternative to Twitter, which has experienced significant platform instability and operational changes since Elon Musk purchased the company.

BlogMickey.com is also on threads and we will utilize the platform much the same as we do with Twitter – posting news articles and in-park updates. We still plan on using Twitter as long as possible but we will build up a Threads presence as well, so follow us at https://www.threads.net/@blogmickey!

As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to bring you the latest news, photos, and info from around the Disney Parks!
