Disney Parks Division Relocation to Lake Nona “Moving Along Very Well”, Update Expected in 2023

We want you to get the most out of your ‘luxury villa’ stay in Solterra, Davenport (near Championsgate and just south of the Disney World Resort area). To help out, we have sourced the following blog post to keep you up to date with news from Walt Disney World Resort. Thanks to the guys over at Blog Mickey for the original post...

According to an update during the “Future of Lake Nona” event, Tavistock Development Co. Vice President of Strategic Communications Jessi Blakely provided an update on the Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products division move to Lake Nona, FL (via OBJ).

Blakely didn’t offer much in terms of substance, but expects more information to be shared in 2023, saying “in the short-term future, things are moving along with Disney very well. I do expect that there will be news in the coming year around that project.”

In June, Disney announced that the planned move would be delayed from 2023 to 2026. More recently, Disney CEO Bob Iger commented on the planned move during an employee town hall meeting.

Disney was doing site preparation work late last year and early this year, but no proper construction has taken place after the announced delay.
