The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District Board of Supervisors is set to meet next Wednesday, July 26th for their monthly meeting. At the end of the meeting, the Board of Supervisors will meet with their litigation counsel to discuss both the state-level case where they are suing Walt Disney World and the federal case where they are being sued by Walt Disney World.
Both cases are in pre-trial motions, with a ruling in the state-level case on a dismissal or a stay expected shortly. The federal case is taking a bit longer, but we should see some movement early next month.
Going back to the next CFTOD meeting, there will be a closed-door session where the Board and their attorneys will “discuss strategy and settlement negotiations related to litigation expenditures”. All Board of Supervisor members are expected to attend, along with Acting General Counsel Daniel Langley and A. Kurt Ardaman, and litigation counsel Paul Huck.
