Disney Cast Paint in EPCOT, Watch and Paint Along

We want you to get the most out of your ‘luxury villa’ stay in Solterra, Davenport (near Championsgate and just south of the Disney World Resort area). To help out, we have sourced the following blog post to keep you up to date with news from Walt Disney World Resort. Thanks to the guys over at Disney Parks for the original post...

Artistic inspiration can be found from nearly anywhere – and some Walt Disney World cast members got to discover their own in a private art class right in the middle of EPCOT’s World Showcase!

Before the park opened to welcome guests for the day, a group of 50 cast members and their loved ones gathered in the United Kingdom pavilion where they grabbed a canvas, met their instructor and learned to paint EPCOT’s crown jewel – Spaceship Earth. Each of these cast members won this opportunity by entering Magic Backstage, a sweepstakes program just for them, that offers new and exciting prizes each week.

“As I was walking into EPCOT this morning, I looked up at Spaceship Earth and felt so grateful that I am a cast member and this is my life,” said Claire Embil, a Disney College Program participant. “I love that we get to experience Disney magic like this that nobody else can.”

Claire, a creative writing student, used her artistic eye to not only dress like a professional – but draw like one too! In fact, all of our cast members produced imaginative works of art that would make Figment himself proud. With each sweep and swish of their paint brushes, they took home a special canvas that they can remember forever.

Now, you have the opportunity to paint a masterpiece of your own! Check out the video below to watch our instructor’s Spaceship Earth canvas come to life, and try your hand at painting along. After all, all it takes is one little spark of inspiration to create something amazing.

That's all folks!
