Newly reappointed Disney CEO Bob Iger is back at the Walt Disney Studios Lot in Burbank, CA ahead of a town hall meeting with employees and Cast Members. Iger tweeted a photo of the company headquarters this morning after working out of New York since being brought back to lead the company after former CEO Bob Chapek was fired just over a week ago. In the tweet, Iger expressed gratitude and excitement for his return to the lot.
Corporate jet data reveals one of Disney’s private jets landed in New Jersey earlier this morning, presumably to pick up Iger and take him to the employee town hall meeting in Burbank, which is scheduled to take place in just under 30 minutes. Iger is expected to present a vision for the future of The Walt Disney Company at the town hall meeting. Iger has already made a few moves such as announcing a restructuring of the media segment of the Company. More specifics are expected today.
