Belgium Booth Review – 2022 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival

We want you to get the most out of your ‘luxury villa’ stay in Solterra, Davenport (near Championsgate and just south of the Disney World Resort area). To help out, we have sourced the following blog post to keep you up to date with news from Walt Disney World Resort. Thanks to the guys over at Blog Mickey for the original post...

Making its return this year is the Belgium Global Marketplace! You can find the Belgium booth between the Morocco and France pavilions. Here’s our Belgium booth review from the 2022 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival.

Belgium Booth Review

Beer-braised Beef – $5.75

Served with smoked gouda mashed potatoes

Rating: 4 out of 5.

A hearty portion combines well with a slightly enhanced smoked gouda mashed potatoes. The braised beef is soft and tasty and the price is just about right for this type of dish. That said, if you’re stopping at the Belgium booth, it’s not going to be for the beef.

Belgian Waffle – $5.00

Served with warm chocolate ganache

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Both of the waffles dishes are noticeably fresh with the waffles made to order. While we immediately think of Connections Cafe when thinking of waffles at EPCOT, we’d get a Belgium waffle every day of the week over the Connections Cafe offering – it’s that much fresher!

Both waffles are 4.5-star offerings, it just depends on your preference of topping.

Belgian Waffle (Berry) – $5.00

Served with berry compote and whipped cream

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

We liked the berry offering a bit more thanks to a more robust flavor than “just chocolate”, but they’re both wonderful waffles.

Beverages

  • St. Bernardus Witbier – $5/9 (6/12oz)
  • Belgian Abbey Ale – $5/9 (6/12oz)
  • Delirium Red Fruit Ale – $5/9 (6/12oz)
  • Chilled Coffee featuring Godiva Chocolate Liqueur – $11
  • Beer Flight – $10

The Belgium booth delivers quality waffles but generally lacks enough uniqueness to demand your dollar during a Festival with so many offerings.
