Behind the Nametag: Representation in Disney Parks Inspires Career in Disney Tech

We want you to get the most out of your ‘luxury villa’ stay in Solterra, Davenport (near Championsgate and just south of the Disney World Resort area). To help out, we have sourced the following blog post to keep you up to date with news from Walt Disney World Resort. Thanks to the guys over at Disney Parks for the original post...

You never forget your first visit to a Disney park. For Sr. Technical Business Integration Specialist Rodolfo Madero, his first visit to EPCOT was transformational, as he saw his culture and heritage reflected in the World Showcase Mexico Pavilion in a way he never had before.

This representation inspired Rodolfo to start a career with Disney with the Disney College Program in 2014 as a merchandise cast member at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Upon completing his degree in 2016, he returned to Disney to continue his professional journey with the Technology & Digital organization to work on audiovisuals and digital signage.

As we celebrate Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month, Rodolfo’s team supports, encourages and celebrates his voice as one to be heard.

“I always feel that my voice matters,” Rodolfo said.

Throughout his career, seeing other cultures represented in our parks and resorts has allowed Rodolfo to feel included in all we do as a part of The Walt Disney Company.
