Beach Construction Makes Progress at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

We want you to get the most out of your ‘luxury villa’ stay in Solterra, Davenport (near Championsgate and just south of the Disney World Resort area). To help out, we have sourced the following blog post to keep you up to date with news from Walt Disney World Resort. Thanks to the guys over at Blog Mickey for the original post...

Earlier this month, we noticed that work was underway on the beach at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. This construction was taking place near the main pool, although the pool has remained open throughout the work. Note that the work documented in this article is different from the work taking place to bring a Disney Vacation Club tower to the former Spirit of Aloha dinner show area. For an updated look at the demolition taking place for that project, check out our article below.

In the photo below, the Disney Vacation Club work is taking place at the red circle and the beach construction that we’ll take a look at below is taking place at the blue circle.

Here’s a look at what’s left of the construction site, with the beach and walkway being rebuilt and the remaining construction zone shrinking, but still impacting the walkway.

Here is the area that was recently completed.

Guest views are not impacted as the work has only taken place in front of the main pool so far.
